Monday we determined that email sent to My Chemeketa was not being delivered properly and piling up in a queue. This queue reached over 40,000 email messages. Yesterday all of the email was cleared for delivery but this morning we found that it was not delivered properly. Currently, mail being sent to any cp.chemeketa.edu address is being rejected. IT Staff are working on determining the source and repairing the problem. Students will not have received emails sent to them since sometime late Sunday though they can send email through to Chemeketa staff and other cp.chemeketa.edu users.
FOR FACULTY: Assignments, requests, and other information sent to students during this time have not been received by your students. Off-Campus emails, sent to staff using their cp.chemeketa.edu address as their main address, have also not been delivered at this time.
More information will be provided when we correct the problem and determine the status of the emails between Sunday and this morning.
