Access to student systems such as eLearn and My Chemeketa will be restored first. Other systems not listed above may be down for short periods as part of the overall upgrade/configuration process.
The work will be focused on:
1. Completing the email purging change by significantly reducing the size of our email storage now that the high volume of stored messages has been reduced. This will allow for faster recovery in case of catastrophic failure.
2. Repair and upgrade our core switch which connects Chemeketa to the outside world and maintains quality communications between systems on campus. This is required to manage our ever increasing network usage and prepares for current projects and future service requirements.
3. Consolidation of systems in our data center to address current power capacity problems and provide for expansion.
4. Relocate upgraded switch in Building 2 to complete the Building 2 remodel. Currently there is no additional capacity available to complete the remodel.
