				UPDATE: 
Service Restored: Our Managed Hosting Engineers have corrected the problem and have restored the service to the eLearn system at 5:00 p.m. PDT.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the eLearn server.&amp;emsp;  As of 4:10pm all requests to the server have been timing out.&amp;emsp;  We have contacted Blackboard Managed Hosting and they are currently working on the situation.&amp;emsp; Instructors have also been notified of the outage.&amp;emsp;

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.

				The eLearn system has been experiencing brief, intermittent service interruptions throughout the weekend. This means that eLearn users have been logged out of eLearn in the midst of their work, including tests, quizzes and other eLearn tasks.  Please take this issue into consideration when communicating with students.
 
This service interruption is also affecting the MyChemeketa and Outlook systems.  IT is currently working to determine the source of the problem and solution.  We will keep you notified of progress.

				On Friday, July 10, the majority of Chemeketa&apos;s technology resources will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance.

Telephone and network services will be available, but &lt;strong&gt;Banner, e-mail, eLearn, and all Web services (including My Chemeketa, the public Web site, and Chemeketa Online) will be down between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.&lt;/strong&gt; on that day. This outage will allow Information Technology staff to perform essential maintenance on a variety of systems.

Questions about this outage may be directed to any member of the Information Technology management team.

Due to the inclement weather, college closure and inability for staff members to be on campus, we have to extend the length of time for the eLearn outage.  The system will be down for necessary maintenance until the end of the day on Sunday, December 21, 2008.  eLearn will be back up on Monday, December 22, 2008.

				Due to the inclement weather and college closure, we delayed the start of the eLearn outage.  We are in regular communication with IT and discussing the process for eLearn maintenance.  

The server was taken down today around 12:30 and the backup process has begun.  Depending on the weather over the next few days, our maintenance plan may change if
the College continues to remain closed.

We will continue posting updates if things change due to weather or the ability for staff to be on campus.

Maintenance to the eLearn system: December 15 - 19, 2008
The IT department needs to conduct critical maintenance to the eLearn system during the week following finals. This will result in a three day outage with a two-day contingency plan in the event that something doesn&apos;t go well. This maintenance will clean up space in the database and enhance capacity performance and data safety on the system. 
&lt;p&gt;
We realize this is a lengthy outage and the IT staff will be working hard to get the system back up as quickly and safely as possible. 
&lt;p&gt;
The maintenance outage will take place starting on December 15 at 3:00 pm and continue through December 19, 2008. The eLearn system will be unavailable to all users during that time.
&lt;p&gt;
Students may check grades on &lt;a href=&quot;http://my.chemeketa.edu&quot;&gt;My Chemeketa&lt;/a&gt; on Wednesday, December 17.

&lt;p&gt;Here is the solution to the problem of the missing My Computer icon and attaching files.  The security certificate was renewed in August which requires everyone to trust and run the application again.  This is why attaching files has been a problem for students this term.
After logging into eLearn you should be prompted with the box below.
&lt;p&gt;Please check &quot;Always trust content from this publisher&quot; and click &quot;Run&quot;.  If you click &quot;Cancel&quot; you will not be able to attach files.
