Introduces retailing and provides an understanding of the types of businesses, strategies, operation, formats, and environments through which retailing is carried out. Covers planning, research, consumers' behavior, store design, and strategies for merchandising, management, promotion, and pricing. Stresses the global dimensions of retailing as well as the relationship between retailing and society. Recommended: Placement into RD090 and WR121; and BA101 with a grade of C or better. W
