Chemistry for Allied Health
Focuses on general chemistry with emphasis on the applications of chemical principles to the life sciences. Designed for Nursing, Dental Hygiene, EMT, and other Allied Health students who plan to pursue careers in the health science professions. Topics include structure and properties of matter; energy; atomic structure and bondings; gas laws; chemical reactions. First term of a three-term sequence dealing with the molecular basis for life. Prerequisite: Placement into MTH111 or higher; or MTH095 or higher with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. F, W, Offered as needed
