Promotes awareness and knowledge of the differences and similarities among diverse groups and individuals in society. Focuses on discussion and analysis of national demographic and historical trends; sociological concepts of race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual identity, social class; and the dynamics of social interaction and power.
