Fundamental of Fire Prevention Covers the history and philosophy of fire protection through review of life and property loss statistics, case studies of fire protection agencies, current and future fire protection problems, and fire prevention laws and regulations. Develops an awareness of, and positive attitude toward, fire prevention as a method of accomplishing the fire department mission. Explores issues of difference, power, and responsibility in the workplace as it relates to early fire prevention efforts and workplace safety. Offered as needed.
