Organic Chemistry Introduces the principles of organic chemistry for students majoring in the physical or life sciences. Emphasizes structure, nomenclature, physical properties and chemical reactivities of organic molecules. Stresses carboxylic acids and their derivatives, amines, condensation reactions, carboxylics, lipids, amino acids, proteins and nucleic acids. Prerequisite: CH242 or consent of instructor. Offered as needed.
