About This Handbook

The purpose of this handbook is to aid students in taking online classes at Chemeketa Community College. It is geared toward a wide range of technical ability and learning styles. It is also used as the textbook for the Online Orientation when you register for the free class.

Features:

The Handbook is divided into general and context specific chapters to make it easier to find the information you need. Within that framework you can choose to view information in:

  • Step-by-step process lists
  • the addition of screen shot view (below main section) by selecting "Screenshot Mode" in the upper right corner
  • or by browsing the Glossary/Definition list that pertains to your topic.

Some words will be underlined with dashes. This indicates the word has a quick definition in the form of a tooltip*.

Most chapters will include links to specific answers in the Frequently Asked Questions page.
