Enrolling/Registering

Enrolling at the college is free and is the first step in becoming a student at Chemeketa. This process puts you into the main college database and allows you to register for classes.

Here are the steps to enroll at Chemeketa.

  1. Obtain and fill out a Student Record Form. Using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program, you can fill out most of this form on your computer screen before printing and signing.
  2. Mail or FAX your form to the college. The FAX number and mailing address are on the form.
  3. Wait at least one full business day for the form to be processed. This may take longer if your submission is within a week of the start of the term.
  4. To test if your enrollment is complete, try going to My Chemeketa and going to the form that tells you what your login is. Be sure to enter your information exactly as you did when filling out the Student Record Form.

Registering makes you a student in a particular class during the current or upcoming term.

Here are the steps to register for a class at Chemeketa.

Before you register:

  • Make sure it is time to register. See the Registration Times quick link in the right column.
  • Make sure you have Course Reference Numbers (CRN) for each class you wish to register for.
  • Be certain that you are aware of the costs and responsibilities for all your classes. Full payment must be made within ten business days of the time you register.
  • If the term has already started, you may need to get the instructor's 'signature' before the system will allow you to register. See the FAQ for instructions on how to do this.
  • Web Registration via My Chemeketa
    1. Browse to My Chemeketa and choose the School Services tab.
    2. Choose Administrative Services
    3. Choose the Add or Drop Classes link under Student Services and Financial Aid Menu
    4. Select the Term and click the "Submit Term" button.
    5. The first table below the instructions shows your registration status for the selected term and a drop-down box if you wish to Drop the class. The form below that is where you can enter the CRN for one or more classes you wish to Add.
    6. Submit Changes and Finalize your Registration
