There are no prerequisites for this workshop. However, all students who are intending to use this workshop for their required 2-hour child abuse training are urged to contact their local SCF office before completing the workshop to insure that the workshop will meet the two-hour State of Oregon requirement.

Course Description: This course is designed to meet the State of Oregon two-hour training requirement and to provide an introduction to how to prevent, identify and report abuse and neglect for all those who are interested.
Performance Based Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  2. Outline the SCF process.
  3. Discuss the symptoms of child abuse.
  4. Identify physical, sexual, and other types of abuse.
