There is no cost to enroll in Chemeketa Community College.
Tuition and fees at Chemeketa are due when you register but a payment plan can be arranged.
For most online courses, tuition is $61 per credit plus a $50 fee for each online course. There is also a Universal Access Fee of $6 per credit. So, for example, a 3 credit online course will cost $251 ($183 + $50 + $18).
Out-of-state students
will be charged $61 tuition per credit, the Universal Access Fee of $6 per credit, plus a $50 fee for each online course.
International students
will be charged $199 tuition per credit, the Universal Access Fee of $6 per credit, plus a $50 fee for each online course, plus a non-refundable fee of $265 per term for students attending on an F1 visa. (Students attending on other visa types are charged a non-refundable fee of $75 per term.)
If you are an international student who is required to have an I-20 immigration document, you are considered an international student as long as you are required to have that document.
Deferred tuition payments
You may pay tuition in installments by paying one-half of the amount due plus a contract fee. Make sure your schedule is complete before finalizing your contract since you will need to pay another fee if you add tuition for additional classes to your contract. Contact the Enrollment Center, Building 2, Salem Campus, for details on installment plans.
Tuition refund policy
If the college cancels a class, you will get a full tuition refund. If you decide to withdraw from a class, you may do so using the My Chemeketa website.
If you drop a class within the first two weeks of the term, you will receive a refund for tuition and lab fees as long as you have no outstanding debts. We do not issue refunds under $5. Be aware that changes in the number of credit hours for which you are registered may affect your financial aid, agency or veteran's benefits.
Auditing classes
Register as an auditor if you do not want to receive grades or credits. You may get a Audit Request Form from the Registrar's Office. Complete and return the form to that office by the end of the fourth week of the term.
